Load-out day: cases, manifests, and the pack sheet

Load-out day is where the drawing meets the dock. ShowKeep tracks what goes into which case, and ShowPlot works out how the cases go into the truck. This playbook runs the two together.

  1. Scan gear into cases. On the pack scan screen, scan a case to open it, then scan units and bulk gear into it. Cases with a dedicated home warn you if something that does not belong gets scanned in. See Scan gear and Cases.
  2. Print case manifests. Print a manifest for a single case right after packing it, or print one document for every case on the job. See Manifests.
  3. Import the cases into ShowPlot's truck pack. Open the truck pack tool on the linked show. It pulls the job's cases, either the real units already packed or an estimate from unpulled gear and dedicated case homes. See Pack the truck and Your ShowKeep cases become ShowPlot's truck pack.
  4. Auto-pack, then adjust by hand. Pick a vehicle preset, run auto-pack, and drag or rotate individual cases to fit your crew's real loading order.
  5. Print the pack sheet. The pack sheet gives loaders a top-down view, a front view down each strap line, per-layer views when cases are stacked, weight totals, and where the load bars go. See Exports.
  6. Scan gear back in after the show. Reverse the process at load-in for the return leg: scan cases back in, and unpack when gear returns to its normal home. See Scan gear.

:::tip Plan the truck before you pull Because the truck pack can work from estimated cases, built from your dedicated case homes, you can check whether a job fits the truck before anyone opens a shelf. Fix a truck problem on screen, not at the dock. :::

:::note Estimated versus pulled Before anything is pulled, ShowPlot shows estimated cases. Once ShowKeep gear is checked out, the same tool switches to the real, pulled cases. A partially pulled job shows a mix of both, so the pack sheet always matches what is actually happening in the warehouse. :::
