Maintenance tickets

Maintenance tickets track a unit's trip through repair or inspection, from the moment something is wrong to the moment it is back in service.

:::note Max feature Maintenance tickets are on the Max plan. On Free and Pro, gear can still be marked out of service by hand, but the ticket board and history are not available. :::

Opening a ticket

Open one from a unit's page: type what is wrong and choose Open. A ticket also opens automatically when a unit is checked in from a job as damaged, which takes it out of service at the same time.

Working a ticket

Each ticket has a status: open, in repair, waiting parts, or closed. Move it between the first three as work progresses, and add timestamped notes as you go, useful for tracking what a shop told you or what parts are on order.

Closing a ticket

Closing asks for a resolution and, optionally, a cost:

ResolutionWhat happens to the unit
Repaired / good as newReturns to service.
Needs attentionStays out of service.
RetiredRemoved from stock for good.
LostRemoved from stock, marked lost.
OtherRecorded, unit status unchanged.

Finding open tickets

The Maintenance screen lists every ticket, open ones first, and a unit's own page shows its ticket history alongside its Details and Contents. Out-of-service units also show up on the Out of service report.
