Locations and stock counts
Locations are where your gear physically lives when it is not out on a job. Serialized units sit in one location at a time; bulk items keep a quantity at each location they are stocked in.
Build the tree
Under Locations, add entries with a name and a kind: warehouse, zone, shelf, vehicle, or other. Use Inside to nest one location under another, for example a shelf inside a zone inside a warehouse. A typical tree looks like Warehouse A, then Row 3, then Shelf 2, plus a separate top-level entry for Truck 1. Each location shows as a full path so nesting stays readable.
Click a location's name to jump to the inventory currently filtered to it.
Stock counts, receiving, and removal
Open a bulk item and go to its Stock tab to see quantity on hand at every location. From there you can:
- Receive: add quantity, with a reason such as "received order."
- Remove: subtract quantity, with a reason such as "damaged" or "lost."
- Set count: type the actual counted quantity for a location, for reconciling a physical audit.
Transfers
To move bulk stock between two locations without changing the total, use Transfer to on the same Stock tab: pick the destination and a quantity, and the source location's count drops as the destination's rises in one step.
Serialized units
A serialized unit's location lives on the unit itself. Edit the unit, or use Scan gear in and out in Move mode to relocate one or many units by scanning their tags.
:::tip Adjustments leave a trail Every receive, remove, count, and transfer is recorded on the item's History tab, so you can always see who adjusted stock and why. :::
