Short definitions of the terms used throughout ShowSuite and this help center.

Bundle. A single subscription that grants Max on ShowPlot and ShowKeep together, with a shared pool of seats, for less than buying both at Max separately.

Case. In ShowKeep, an inventory item that holds other gear: a road case, rack, Pelican, or trunk. Cases carry dimensions, weight, casters, and rules such as stackable or do not flip.

Case resident. Gear that lives in a dedicated case and travels in it by default, so the case knows what it should contain.

DMX mode. A fixture's control profile, which sets how many channels it uses and what each channel does. A fixture can offer several modes.

Entitlement. What your plan turns on. Each app resolves your effective entitlements from your subscription, the bundle, and any overrides.

GDTF. General Device Type Format, an open standard file that describes a real lighting fixture, including its geometry, 3D model, and DMX modes. ShowPlot and ShowKeep can use GDTF to bring real fixtures in.

Item. In ShowKeep, a kind of gear you own, for example "Source Four 26 degree". An item can have many units.

Job. In ShowKeep, an event with dates that gear is checked out to. A ShowPlot show becomes a ShowKeep job when you send it over.

Load bar (strap line). A point across the truck where cargo is strapped in. ShowPlot's truck pack keeps a clean strap line roughly every six feet and can place load bars.

Manifest. A printed packing list for a case or a job: what is inside, quantities, condition, and serials.

Organization. Your workspace in ShowSuite. It holds your shows, inventory, invoices, team, and subscription. Everything belongs to an organization.

Pull sheet. The list of gear a show needs, checked against what is available for the dates. In ShowSuite a ShowPlot plot can become a ShowKeep pull sheet.

Seat. One person's access to your organization. Seats are shared across all apps, so a teammate uses one seat no matter how many apps they open.

Show (project). In ShowPlot, one drawing of an event: the room, the staging, the gear, and everything you lay out.

Suite link. The invisible thread that ties a linked show, job, and invoice together so a change in one surfaces as an update in the others.

Unit. In ShowKeep, one physical piece of an item, tracked by serial or tag, with its own condition and history.
